In 2002, the traditional Austrian hotel was transformed into a modern, but still very comfortable, four star hotel. The upgrade and renovation saw the traditional hotel gaining 15 new rooms and studios. A small and comfy wellness area and the swimming pond, which is very popular in the summer, completed the offering.

Now in the hands of Christian and Sabine Steiger, in 2010, the most recent extension and renovation of the family-run hotel was completed. That year saw 22 new rooms and suites being added, the furnishing of which takes the holiday requirements of allergy-sufferers into account.

One thing that hasn't changed at the Zirbenhotel Steiger is the traditional hospitality and the great tradition for gastronomy.
