Green seminars - learning and further development

In the seminar area with 20 seminar rooms, the light-flooded dome seminar rooms help save electricity. Guests drink the best Retter mountain spring water in the seminar area. No mineral water is transported over long distances, and the proceeds of the goods saved are donated to the aid organisation Ö.L.R.G Kinderhilfe, which supports children in need.

All rooms in the Retter Bio-Natur-Resort offer daylight, a garden exit or a garden terrace and can be darkened. Air conditioning and lighting can be regulated individually and the spacious seminar rooms have a telephone and free internet access (fixed and W-Lan High Speed), audio system and a satellite TV connection. A beamer is available to guests in the seminar room free of charge. In front of the seminar rooms there is a spacious break foyer with an extensive range of organic teas and organic coffee specialities. Guests can also enjoy apple and banana snacks and fresh fruit.

26 years of indulgence as a staging of the moment

Guests can enjoy delicious delicacies made from certified organic, regional foods and refreshing regional apple and pear juices as well as Retter-BIO-Bräu. The restaurant has held the Grüne Haube award for healthy, wholesome and regional cuisine since 1994 and has been awarded a toque by Gault Millau. We spoil our hotel guests with the all-time enjoyment package with hearty dishes made from local certified organic food and herbs from our own garden and homemade organic bread baked in the wood-fired oven. Meat is something very special for us and not a mass product. In 2014, we joined the Labonca organic farm with its associated pasture slaughterhouse and only process organic animals kept in the open air.

Arrival and departure service

Together with Retter Reisen, which is the only company in Austria to already use the new generation of buses with Euro 6 engines, guests are offered the most environmentally friendly way of arriving and departing. For stays of 3 nights or more and for groups of 15 or more, customers are picked up free of charge in the vicinity of Graz or Vienna. Private guests are picked up free of charge from the nearest railway station.

Further green facts

An energy-efficient construction method, the installation of a separate toilet flushing system using rainwater, the construction and connection of our own organic wood chip plant or the installation of an automated system to control the doors and windows as well as all energy usage are good examples of our resource-saving operation. The orchard around the hotel has been run organically for 30 years, the entire hotel is furnished with solid Styrian wood and the food on offer has been certified organic since 1994. In the 116 nature park rooms, mains electricity-free circuits, Styrian solid wood and extra-long beds ensure a peaceful night's sleep. The orchard supplies the hotel with organic and fruit juices.
