Railway clear to the wintry mountains
Our eco-labelled tourism region of Seefeld in Tyrol shows that winter holidays don't have to mean traffic jams and the smell of exhaust fumes or fitting snow chains and laboriously scraping off windscreens, but can also be comfortable and climate-friendly. Be inspired and get ideas for your stress-free winter holiday.
In the middle of the mountains and yet accessible without a car?
Tyrol`s high plateau Seefeld lies at 1200 metres above sea level and is still easy to reach. Three train stations - the largest in the centre of Seefeld - and six bus lines as well as several ski buses make a relaxed journey by train child's play and also ensure unlimited mobility on site. The PlateauCard guest card is valid as a region-wide ticket and perfectly rounds off the public transport offer. The decelerated journey to the Seefeld region ensures that you simply get more out of your holiday: More relaxation, more mountains and more time for what's really important. This is one of the reasons why the region has recently been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. Seefeld is proud to be able to offer truly sustainable tourism and thus protect our precious nature for future generations!
Everything on track for your winter holiday
The three train stations in Seefeld make travelling by train an easy decision between trains of the Westbahn, the Austrian and Swiss Federal Railways or the Deutsche Bahn (depending on which has the more attractive offer in terms of price and service quality) - in the centre of Seefeld there is even the highest ICE train station in Europe, which is open all year round - for longer distances, the night train to Innsbruck is also an alternative. Luggage and equipment can be conveniently sent in advance with the door-to-door luggage offer!
