The Mödlinger alpine hut is a romantic accommodation (category I) with high standard. It is located in the Gesäuse national park region at 1,523m above sea level. It can be easily reached from Johnsbach or the train station Gaishorn am See via hiking trails or via a forest road in two and a half hours. From the car park located below the hut, it is only a 30-minute walk to the Mödlinger hut. In addition to the traditional Styrian cuisine our guests appreciate the homemade pastries and fine liquors as well as the many quality wines. Our cozy cabin is very suitable for events of all kinds: cultural events, birthday parties, weddings, school trips and small seminars

The hut is open from mid-May to early November and from New Year's Eve to mid-January. In winter, the seven-kilometer natural toboggan run on the forest road is open.
