The mountain refuge is located at the very heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park Carinthia within the Schober group south of the Großglockner at an altitude of 2,488 m, surrounded by no fewer than 15 3,000-m summits. You can find it on the Wiener Höhenweg, a road that leads from Glocknerhaus to Iselsberg and further on to Lienz in 5-6 legs. It was also awarded
the environmental label of the Austrian Alpine Association.
Open from mid-June to mid-September.
