For us, sustainability is a continuous journey of improvement, in which each and every one of us across all production areas, departments, and management levels makes the highest possible contribution. We are working to reduce the ecological footprint of our entire company and deliver our products and solutions with a net-zero CO2 content.

In collaboration with sustainability experts from Ramboll, Knauf Insulation conducted a study that shows it takes only 95 days after the installation of mineral wool insulation for the CO2 content of our mineral wool to be balanced out. From that point onwards, Knauf Insulation's mineral wool insulation solutions permanently reduce the operational CO2 emissions of buildings in Europe by 3.6 million tons every year. This corresponds to the CO2 emissions of approximately 2.5 million cars on European roads.

However, sustainability also means circular economy, and we are on a promising path with our recycling service, RESULATION. At the same time, we focus on sustainable, recyclable alternatives for our packaging.

Putzträgerplatte FKD-Light C2

FKD-Light C2 is a highly compressed, pressure-resistant rock mineral wool board with double-sided adhesive coating and very high thermal insulation performance. It is used for thermal, acoustic, and preventative fire protection in open diffusion external thermal insulation composite systems according to ÖNORM B 6400. Distribution is carried out through system providers of external thermal insulation composite systems.
