First exhibition stand with an Ecolabel
Producer of exhibition stands "Schiff fair Success" from Vienna was successful in constructing the first environmentally friendly exhibition stand following the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel UZ75.
At the occasion of the "Power-Days" in Salzburg, the company “Schiff fair Success” erected the first eco-labeled exhibition stand in Austria certified according to the new UZ 75 criteria of the Ministry of the Environment for their client company Siblik . The family led business is known for innovative and practice-oriented implementation of customer requirements in worlds of experience for communication and encounters. The implementation of the new criteria meant a lot of pioneering and development work in the implementation of the sustainability idea in the event and trade fair area.
Sabine Sturm, CEO ship fair success, explains the motivation behind this: "The focus of this exhibition stand is on avoiding environmental and health risks during production and disposal." The stand and the materials are used repeatedly and are kept in a reuse cycle through recycling and avoids environmentally and health hazardous materials as much as possible."
It was an important sign for Siblik as a client to have a green stand to show its range of system solutions for energy efficiency, resource conservation and sustainability.
The Austrian Ecolabel guarantees an upscale environmental standard based on a "life-cycle approach", the environmental impact of use, manufacture and disposal. In the operational aspect the exhibition stand also considers the mobility concept for the stand personnel or the choice of caterers. The Austrian Ecolabel is not only focussing at consumers but also at the economy and wants to motivate manufacturers and retailers to develop and offer products that are less harmful to the environment and thus to raise awareness of ecologically sensible action in everyday life.
