The Federal Institute for Adult Education (bifieb) is located at 545 m above sea level directly on the Wolfgangsee, near the village Strobl. In an environment where others spend their holidays, the bifeb offers an atmosphere of tranquility ideal for reflection and creativity. With over 19,000 overnight stays a year in the conference and seminar sector and 34 workplaces, the bifeb is a key economic factor in the region.

The Federal Institute sets new standards for environmental awareness in the education sector. It was the first establishment in Austria to be awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for "Tourism" and "Extracurricular Education" at the same time.
