EU Ecolabel Verleihung

12 companies awarded with the EU Ecolabel

12 companies from the fields of tourism, cosmetics and paper processing were awarded the EU Eco-Label for their sustainable products and services. The award was presented at the ceremony by Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler.

The EU Ecolabel offers consistent ecological orientation and has been the most important European environmental label for 30 years. Licensees from a wide variety of industries had gathered for the award ceremony on April 26 in the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology. "I am pleased that we were able to welcome such a large number of company representatives at today's awards ceremony, who make an invaluable and extremely important contribution to a more sustainable and climate-friendly economy with their efforts to obtain the Austrian and EU Ecolabel", Minister Leonore Gewessler complimented the licensees at the event.

Green Commitment

The EU Ecolabel is awarded to those environmentally friendly products and accommodation providers that meet a number of environmental criteria such as quality and durability and successfully complete a corresponding check. At the award ceremony on April 26, 12 companies from all over Austria were delighted to receive the environmental seal. 10 of the award-winning companies from Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Tyrol, Vorarlberg and Vienna come from the tourism industry: the cosmetics manufacturer Ringana and the paper processing company Kliemstein from East Styria were also among the award-winning companies to receive the EU Ecolabel.
