The Volksoper Wien looks back on over 120 years of history, making it one of the most traditional theaters in Vienna. Opened in 1898 as the "Kaiserjubiläum-Stadttheater", it became the Volksoper in 1904. However, with its performances on almost 300 evenings a year, the music theater house always forges a link to the present day.
