Kunstraum Niederoesterreich is a lively place for contemporary art in Vienna. Our program consists of exhibitions, performances and discursive formats and presents Austria-based as well as international artists. Ecological issues play a central role in our projects – from the historical and present connections between the climate crisis and (neo-)colonialism to the question of what a sustainable coexistence between humans and nature could look like in the future. Our aim is to heighten social awareness of the urgency of environmental and sustainability issues. Of course, we also live this philosophy in our daily practice: As a NÖKU company, we are part of the NÖKU sustainability strategy, through which binding ecological standards in all work areas are defined.
